Defund Apartheid Action was founded to educate and mobilize young people in the fight against the new apartheid happening in Palestine by holding so-called “progressive” Democratic members of Congress accountable for their complicity in human rights abuses against Palestinians.
The House Progressive Caucus, supposedly the most left-leaning faction of the Democratic Party, has dozens of members who have taken money from right-wing, anti-Palestinian groups like AIPAC and even more members who have voted to send unrestricted military aid to Israel — aid used to oppress, maim, and kill innocent people in Palestine.
We intend to push back against these fake progressive Democratic members of Congress by educating their constituents on their stances via print, television, and digital media.
We publicly pressure these politicians to return their AIPAC money and to support dignity and human rights for Palestinians. If they don’t listen, then we vote them out.
The pro-apartheid right-wing has AIPAC. The pro-human rights left-wing has us.
OUR MISSION:
Mobilize a new generation of voters by informing them of the connection between Israeli state-sanctioned violence in Palestine and the Democratic Party’s complicity in enabling it.
Hold Democratic members of Congress accountable for taking pro-apartheid stances that endanger the lives of Palestinian people.
Vote out members of Congress who disregard Palestinian lives and enable Israel’s human rights abuses.
